Kirrilee Returns With Heartfelt New Single “The View” - A Moving Reflection on Helpless Love

Melbourne, Australia - 17th of October - Rising Australian pop artist Kirrilee unveils her most emotional single yet, “The View,” a hauntingly beautiful track that captures the pain of watching someone you love endure heartbreak — and the helplessness that comes with it.
Written while house-sitting in regional Victoria, “The View” was born from a moment of deep empathy and frustration. Kirrilee recalls,
“I wrote this song whilst watching my best friend go through a really awful relationship with someone who treated them like garbage, didn’t appreciate them, and hurt them continuously. All I could do was be there for her whilst she went through this awful thing. After a particularly terrible interaction, she called me, but I was three hours away, and all I wanted to do was give her a hug and tell her it would be okay. So instead, after getting off the phone, I sat down and wrote this song for her.”
With Kirrilee’s signature, heart-on-the-sleeve lyricism, “The View” offers a vulnerable yet empowering perspective; reminding listeners of the power of friendship, empathy, and the quiet kind of love that stands strong in the background.
Following the breakout success of her previous single “When The Lights Go Out,” which received multiple radio plays across Australia (including iHeartRadio, Triple R, EMFM, and Ellenbrook FM), “The View” continues Kirrilee’s evolution as one of Australia’s most promising independent pop artists.
